Ideapad laptops and Thinkpad laptops can now be serviced at a local authorized service center – like us!
We feel that we, as a Lenovo warranty service center, have a unique perspective. While what they say is true about the build quality differences and purpose differences, one difference is often overlooked. Service Speed.
Thinkpad laptops in for warranty repair service often have it back the next business day fully repaired. Ideapad’s usually take about a week. If there’s any special handling that needs to be done, you can directly request that with our service technicians.
If you simply can’t bear the thought of being without your laptop for a week for a screen replacement, then the little extra cost for the Thinkpad is worth it.
On the other hand, if you consider them basically disposable and everything is backed up to the cloud anyway, the Ideapad is a great way to go. This way you can upgrade to the latest interfaces and features along the way and still get great local service – just a little bit slower.
